Comic Book Project
This project is an adaptation of a rhetorical analysis paper, which I chose to write on the interface of Nintendo's Wii video game console. It was made using Comic Life, using a variety of pictures I found primarily on Flickr under Creative Commons licenses.
The character of "Professor Attenthrew" is based on a recurring theme in the class about how interfaces are designed to be both looked "at and through", and the Wii exemplified this idea due to the multiple levels of interfaces.

Movie Project
This movie is a further adaptation of the rhetorical analysis paper, based on the earlier comic book. It is designed to be a news broadcast, with each segment looking at a particular aspect of the Wii:
- the sports segment looking at the differences between individual games (my high score in bowling really did happen during filming)
- the "weather" segment looking at the Wii interface directly (we couldn't get an internet connection to actually get a weather forecast)
- the special report segment comparing the Wii to other systems (we only got one take on these shots, so it's a bit unrefined)
